Originally from Barrosa Valley and Gawler, Robert moved to Peterborough in 2000 to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. However, when he arrived in Peterborough, he was frustrated with the lack of reliable internet options available to him and the community.
At the time, Peterborough only had ADSL copper phone lines and dial-up internet options. The internet was slow, video calls (Skype & Facetime) lagged, dropped out and were pixelated, and gaming was barely possible as response times (latency) were incredibly slow.

Robert knew there had to be better, faster solutions available, so started to study communications and data cabling and soon qualified as an open license data cabler.
His passion for digital communications continued to grow and he became a licensed installer for Foxtel and helped many local businesses and families set up computer networks.
A few years later when broadband started to roll out, Robert was contracted by the NBN to install residential and business NBN connections both locally and nationally.

Fast forward to today and Robert has custom designed and built the RBWiFi high-speed wireless broadband network covering Peterborough, Yongala, Orroroo and the surrounding areas. RBWiFi is the only locally owned and operated ISP (Internet Service Provider) in the Mid North and Flinders Area and provides fast, reliable and responsive internet solutions for the local community.
